Amy Rettig is in her 20th year working at Nielsen in early 2014.  Prior to her role in External Affairs for the Company, she was the VP of Public Affairs.  She has been a Florida resident for over 33 years living in Pinellas, Polk, Orange, Manatee, Hernando, and Hillsborough counties.  After acquiring her BA in Communications from the University of Central Florida, Amy began her career as a Leadership Consultant for Zeta Tau Alpha traveling to colleges and universities across the U.S.  She then worked as Director, Student Activities at Thomas More College before joining Nielsen in 1994 where she has held positions in Human Resources, Training & Development, Client Service, and Communications.

Amy is involved a number of local organizations and is the current Chair of the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce Trustee Committee, as well as a Board Member and Chair of their Trustee Committee; American Heart Association’s Circle of Red; University of South Florida Women in Leadership and Philanthropy; St. Leo University College of Business Advisory Board; and Hillsborough Community College Radio and TV Advisory Board.  She volunteers time with both Pinellas and Hillsborough Education Foundations and is a board member of the Pinellas Education Foundation, AMIkids Pinellas, and Girls Night to Give.  She was a proud member of Leadership Florida’s Class 29.  Residing in St. Petersburg with her husband and 11 year-old daughter, she is an active member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.  Amy’s interests revolve around travel, running, her four brother’s families, friendships, and her Swiss heritage.
