Doug Wagner

Doug Wagner has been the Director of Adult, Career and Technical Education for the School District of Manatee County for the last 14 years.  The School District serves 47,000 students annually in 55 schools including a postsecondary technical college.  Doug has taught at the Middle and High School levels, worked at the Florida Department of Education as the State Supervisor of Technology and Technical Education, and later as a Graduate Course Instructor at the University of South Florida.  Doug has educational credentials from Tallahassee Community College, Ferris State University and Florida State University.  Manatee County is viewed as national leader in the area of career and technical education and known for many new initiatives such as Inspiring Elementary Education (IE2), Wall-to-Wall” model Academies, and Career and Technical Student Origination excellence.
