Marieme Esther Dassanou, Global Specialist Women’s Access to Finance at the International Finance Corporation, World Bank Group and member of the IFC’s Gender Secretariat.
The Gender Secretariat works with colleagues and private sector clients to provide equal access to economic opportunities for men and women at the firm level. They build global partnerships, develop new gender products, offer knowledge, provide training, conduct research on the business case for gender, and develop tools that support gender smart business strategies. Marieme Esther Dassanou holds the Sector Lead position for Financial Markets, Insurance, and Entrepreneurship.
The Secretariat’s team collaborates with clients, partners and colleagues to offer services that promote gender-inclusive growth, such as:
- Including men and women in supply chains and in company-community relationships
- Enabling women-owned businesses to access financial services, coaching and markets
- Promoting access to qualified women candidates for board and executive leadership positions
- Advancing equal employment and promotion opportunities for men and women
