Sharon Hammond is a community organizer, traveler, humanitarian and amateur sociologist. Her extensive experience in food systems, from the industrial to the hyper-local has lead her to believe in the power of food to address many of the most pressing sociological and environmental challenges of the day. From the way that it is grown and distributed to the way that it is prepared and shared, food is a powerful vector for influencing the health and wealth of people and planet.
