Neil is the Director of Sustainability for The Mosaic Company, the world’s leading producer and marketer of concentrated phosphate and potash – two of the primary crop nutrients required to grow the food the world needs. He has over twenty years of professional experience in the industrial, environmental and sustainability fields.
Neil joined Mosaic in 2011 and manages the company’s global sustainability program. Key responsibilities include development of Mosaic’s sustainability policy and procedure frameworks, establishment of sustainability target and goals, leading the company’s sustainability reporting efforts, identification of areas requiring improvement, benchmarking, and executing strategic external and internal sustainability outreach activities.
Prior to joining Mosaic, Neil consulted on major industrial and mining projects throughout the world. He has expertise in a wide range of technical areas including sustainability, environmental policy and law, environmental management and impact assessment, water chemistry, mine site rehabilitation and waste water treatment technologies.
In addition to technical consulting he has run media liaison and public consultation campaigns for developments with significant environmental and social considerations. Neil has undergraduate qualifications in geology (degree with Honors) and post graduate qualifications in environmental science and sustainability
